Sign language interpreters and guide-interpreters (SLI-GI) in Catalonia work in various fields, from more common fields such as law, politics and healthcare to more specific fields such as aeronautical engineering, where the terminology is much more technical.

Due to the lack of terminology in these fields, SLI-GI professionals did not have complete databases, dictionaries or glossaries to be able to carry out our work with fluency and professional quality.

From ACILS, which is the association that defends the rights and duties of SLI-GI in Catalonia, we thought it would be appropriate to respond to this need, and that is the reason why we have created an App that contains a collection of specific glossaries in Catalan Sign Language (LSC).

The main objective is to create a unique space to look up for signs in specific fields, for SLI-GI professionals, Deaf People, professionals in the educational field and specialists, among others. In conclusion, an open App for people interested in learning the language.
